Sulfuric Acid Plant

This new greenfield sulfuric acid regeneration plant (also known as spent acid recovery) brings 800 tons/day capacity to respond to increasing demand in the gulf area. Sulfuric acid is used as a catalyst in refinery alkylation units to improve the quality of gasoline and can be regenerated to use time and again. The new plant is designed to minimize SO2, SO3 and NOx emissions to a very low level.

As part of the front-end engineering design (FEED), we led a strategic, fast-track FEL-2 study for two sites, combining expertise in process design, reactor design, FRP design, construction and project management by focusing on plant constructability in close collaboration with our construction partner which will significantly decrease costs for the client and their operations.
