Jacques Cartier Bridge Inspection and Rehabilitation Program

preserving an iconic bridge in Montreal

For more than two decades, EXP has been assisting Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges, Inc. (JCCBI) with preventive and systemic management of the major structures of Jacques Cartier, a true icon of the metropolitan landscape linking Montreal and Longueuil. In operation since 1930, this 3.4-kilometer long cantilever bridge consists of a 5-lane deck and a multifunctional walkway.

EXP has developed and actively participated in the maintenance program for Jacques Cartier, focusing on rehabilitation and reinforcement of the truss steel members and towers of the northern approach, repair of St. Helen’s Island Pavilion and the piers and concrete structures of Section 9.
