Ho Chi Minh City Flood Management Project

mitigating flood risks in Vietnam's economic capital

With consistent water management issues, Ho Chi Minh City is considered one of the world’s most vulnerable cities due to flooding. The city experiences inefficient drainage systems and reservoirs during the rainy season.

This major investment targets priority interventions toward climate change resilience and reduction of flooding risks in nine downtown districts within the economic capital of Vietnam.

EXP completed the comprehensive Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA), noting cumulative effects from project specific investments, including those arising from other ongoing or planned infrastructure projects in the Ho Chi Minh City area of impact.
