EXP recently attended the Atlantic Interior Design Awards held in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Developed in 2023, this program recognizes exceptional work in the industry and raises funds for interior design associations in the region. Among over 50 other design submissions, the judges selected EXP to receive the Award of Merit for the Corporate Office category.
“At EXP, we’re always focused on design that is simultaneously dynamic, intuitive and accessible,” Interior Designer + Project Manager Aaron Taylor said. “Our team is honored to receive this award, and I’m proud of the work we’ve done to provide a space that is both functional and beautiful for our Fredericton team and valued clients to experience.”
The winning project is the 140 Carleton building in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. Its design incorporates elements of the built environment, with materials that replicate wood and brick masonry and bring warmth to the 10,000 sq. ft space. References to historical Fredericton architecture blend with modern accessibility to create an office that welcomes both collaboration and productivity. In accordance with EXP sustainability practices, the building also features responsibly sourced materials and energy-efficient systems.
“Interior design continues to open doors to innovation, storytelling and transformation in the spaces we create,” Senior Interior Designer and AIDA conference attendee Sheila Golez said. “This recognition is a testament to the creativity, dedication and excellence our team brings to every project.”
