The Mouska Mine operated for more than 13 years in the Abitibi gold belt. With a depth of 950 meters/3,117 feet the site required decontamination, clean-up and revegetation upon the mine’s closing.
Before revegetation could begin, EXP identified present environmental issues and established a comprehensive remediation plan for the site. By implementing environmental remediation and decontaminating the soils, the former Mouska Mine is now blanketed in vegetation, bringing extensive natural benefits to the land that will be realized for generations to come.
