Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) awarded a $990 million Indo-Pacific multiple award construction contract (IMACC) to 12 businesses to support the Pacific Deterrence Initiative (PDI) program.
The Pacific Deterrence Initiative program will improve the US Armed Forces’ posture, infrastructure, presence and readiness while also increasing the capacity and capabilities of US allies and partners, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract includes a range of design-build projects including facilities and repair/renovation in accordance with nationally recognized industry, international, federal and/or military standards.
EXP has been designated as the Architect and Designer of Record for one of the contractor firms selected to support the United States Joint Base Command. In this capacity, EXP will lead the delivery of engineering, design, quality control and commissioning services throughout the project lifecycle.
“At EXP, we are committed to supporting the federal government’s infrastructure and readiness operations,” EXP’s Guam Pacific Lead on Major Projects and Federal Programs Jenny Bowers said. “We look forward to supporting the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command with their critical work to support infrastructure modernization and resilience.”
