EXP is proud to announce that its urban infrastructure and supervision teams have recently been selected by the City of Montreal to take part in the redevelopment project of the Quartier des Gares. The goal is to create an attractive urban environment that promotes active and safe transportation for all users.
Quartier des Gares, located in the heart of downtown Montreal, is a vibrant and dynamic area where many residents and visitors gather for its restaurants, entertainment venues and numerous arterial routes. EXP will take part in the pre-design studies, design of plans and specifications and supervise work for a section of Saint-Antoine Street, between Guy Street and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard, and for the future Ville-Marie Park, which will bring together several resilient parks between Guy Street and Jean D’Estrées Street. EXP’s contract also includes construction supervision on a section of Saint-Jacques Street between Lucien L’Allier Street and Robert-Bourassa Boulevard.

This project will help revitalize downtown Montreal’s southern sector, improve the quality of the public space and lead to the creation of a major urban park in the area,” says Vice President, Strategic Development – Infrastructure Gabriel Soufo.
At EXP, we design built and natural environments that have positive impacts on communities. In addition to creating an inviting space, this redevelopment also aligns with a sustainability approach. It will contribute to greening the area through the addition of vegetation and the optimization of stormwater management by implementing green stormwater infrastructure. A major park with street furniture will also be developed near the Bell Centre.
