Situated in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Walt Disney World Swan Reserve is a new 14-story high-rise hotel. The hotel features 349 guest rooms with suites, fitness center, elevated amenity pool deck and rooftop meeting space. The hotel includes 19,000 SF of meeting space and an upscale restaurant with display kitchen. The new hotel provides occupants with numerous basic services (grocery, salon, bank, park) within walking distance, while also providing occupants with access to water taxis and buses.
Sustainable design and technology
The design incorporates a variety of sustainable elements and green materials. High efficiency mechanical and electrical systems save annual energy costs by 22% compared to the project’s baseline, and save 30% potable water using low-flow plumbing fixtures. Efficient construction practices above the local standards diverted over 88% of the construction waste from the landfill.
EXP collaborated extensively with the architect and the owner to strategically position wireless access points, concealing them in discreet locations or leaving them visible as appropriate for each area of the project.
The project achieved LEED Silver Certification under the LEED BD+C: Hospitality Rating System.
