Every year, September 30 commemorates thousands of lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and Indigenous communities. As part of our mission to understand, innovate, partner and deliver, we continue to develop meaningful and collaborative relationships with Indigenous Peoples across North America. Through our partnerships, we have learned more about our role in the built and natural environment and in creating spaces of healing and reconciliation.
With a client base of First Nations and Indigenous communities, we are committed to continued learning, understanding and advocacy. To honor National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Orange Shirt Day and the Indigenous communities we partner with, we ask our employees to wear orange to raise awareness of the impacts of residential schools and promote the concept of Every Child Matters.
