EXP and Lindblom Math and Science Academy, one of 11 selective-enrollment high schools in the Chicago Public Schools system, have partnered for the ninth consecutive year of mentorship. Located in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side, Lindblom is home to an inclusive and exceptional student body.
Throughout the academic year, 14 students will meet biweekly with 23 EXP mentors, learning about different engineering and architecture disciplines and their influence on the world. Students will build on these lessons with weekly hands-on assignments, applying concepts while strengthening their collaboration and presentation skills. The program will culminate with a final presentation at the end of the academic year, where students showcase their work and the knowledge they have gained throughout the experience.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to continue this long-lasting partnership with LMSA,” Senior Project Manager Horeya Czaplewski, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB said. “Each year, we welcome new students with big dreams and talented minds, and share some of our everyday world with them. We’re incredibly grateful to kick off year nine and share how architecture and engineering can shape a better world.”

This partnership reflects EXP’s ongoing commitment to inspiring future professionals and creating meaningful connections between industry experts and the next generation of STEM professionals.
