The US 41-Fruitville roundabout realizes increased walkability and safety for the city of Sarasota. Supporting downtown Sarasota’s mission to become a more pedestrian-friendly city, this important urban project expands connectivity to the area while bringing increased pedestrian mobility and improved safety and traffic flow.
This roundabout project brought the addition of a 12-foot-wide multi-use path, pedestrian HAWK (High-Intensity Activated Crosswalk) signals, roadway lighting, major drainage improvements and a deep sanitary sewer.
