The first phase of the Grande Allée rehabilitation work, an important roadway corridor linking the cities of Longueuil and Brossard, has begun. Carried out jointly by the two cities, this $40M project will modernize municipal infrastructure while improving safety and traffic flow for thousands of users.
Since 2022, EXP’s experts in civil and structural engineering, process mechanics, landscape architecture, signage, lighting and buildings have been supporting the two cities in transforming this major transportation link. This collaboration began with conducting preliminary studies and designing plans and specifications. Today, EXP is continuing to contribute its expertise by conducting work supervision for construction taking place between Jonergin Street and Gaétan Boucher Boulevard in Longueuil, and between Alma Avenue and Milan Boulevard in Brossard.
The project is an opportunity to completely rethink the layout of Grande Allée. Adding strips of greenery, trees, lighting fixtures and a bike path will help create a pleasant, safe and sustainable urban corridor that supports active modes of transport.
“The Grande Allée rehabilitation is a major project for the cities of Longueuil and Brossard, and EXP is proud to play a central role in it. This involvement is a key milestone in strengthening our presence on Montreal’s South Shore, which we welcome with great enthusiasm,” says Stéphane Lajoie, Project Manager and Director, Urban Infrastructure.
