Richard Gale | Senior Vice President, Energy Services
As investments in energy infrastructure continue to grow across North America, clients need experienced leadership to guide increasingly complex projects from planning and permitting through design, construction and operations. Richard’s promotion strengthens EXP’s ability to support clients across the full project life cycle with integrated engineering, environmental and project management expertise across a diverse range of energy and infrastructure markets.
Since joining EXP in 2000, Richard has managed and directed major energy projects throughout North America. His expertise includes pipeline and facility development, regulatory and permitting support, environmental services, construction management, safety, project controls and emergency response. Richard has held key leadership roles on some of the industry’s largest infrastructure programs, including EXP’s involvement in the Keystone Pipeline and Keystone XL Pipeline projects, while helping clients successfully deliver complex projects across challenging operating environments.
Kevin McKay, P.Eng. | Senior Vice President, Northern Ontario
For more than 25 years, Kevin has helped build EXP’s presence across Northern Ontario through dedicated leadership and a deep commitment to clients and communities. He brings experience in engineering and construction, with expertise spanning civil and mining engineering, building sciences, municipal infrastructure and project delivery.
His background includes municipal infrastructure, water and wastewater systems, roads, stormwater management and land developments. His portfolio includes the project management of the replacement of the Highway 17 Champlain Bridge in West Nipissing and the John Street Bridge in North Bay, among many municipal and private-sector projects. Kevin’s team is currently providing engineering, project management and construction management services for Electra Battery Materials Corp.’s Cobalt Sulfate Refinery Project in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.
Magdy Samaan, PhD, P.Eng., PE | Senior Vice President, Transportation, Central Canada
EXP continues to strengthen its transportation practice with Magdy’s promotion to Senior Vice President. Since joining the firm in 2020, Magdy has been instrumental in advancing strategic growth and delivering transformative transportation solutions for municipalities and provinces across Central Canada. A recognized industry leader with more than 30 years of experience, he has led the planning, design and rehabilitation of major transportation and bridge infrastructure projects across North America and internationally.
Magdy’s expertise spans every stage of project delivery, from conceptual development and value engineering to construction and program management. His leadership has been pivotal on some of the region’s most complex transportation initiatives, including the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension and the GO Transit Rail Corridor, where he has helped shape critical infrastructure that connects communities and drives economic growth.
