EXP promotes Robert Andrews, P.Eng. to Senior Vice President, Canada Defence National. In his new role, Rob will concentrate on strengthening partnerships with Defence Construction Canada (DCC) and the Department of National Defence (DND), prioritizing the delivery of infrastructure that advances mission readiness, sustainability and long-term value for Canadian Armed Forces facilities.
With over 40 years of experience, Rob has a proven track record of delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects that are vital to public health, safety, operational readiness and asset performance. He has overseen numerous capital programs and projects exceeding $1B in Capital Expenditure. Rob has worked on DCC projects for more than 25 years, including the Esquimalt Navy Base modifications to accommodate the Halifax Class Frigate program and, recently, the major development of DND’s Eastern Ontario Campus and CFB Edmonton ACSV facility. He has been responsible for engineering and construction oversight of many capital improvements at the GTAA (Toronto Pearson), including the people mover, runways and aprons and leading Bombardier’s Owners Advisor for the design and construction of the global jet manufacturing facility.
Throughout his career, Rob has been responsible for Arctic operations including Yellowknife, Inuvik, Iqaluit and other remote Arctic communities. The DND Arctic program will strengthen essential infrastructure systems that the federal government, military and communities will depend on for a secure and strong Canada.
