BAE Systems awards EXP with a lump sum contract for a large design project at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN

Knoxville, TN, December 11, 2019 – EXP has been awarded an engineering and design contract by BAE Systems, operating contractor of the Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN. The project entails an Acetyl Refining plant, an expansion to the Acetic Anhydride production facility, and associated tank farms to support the U.S. Army’s modernization and capacity expansion program.

BAE Systems delivers a full range of products and services for air, land, and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions, and customer support services. Since 1999, BAE Systems has been the operating contractor of the Holston Army Ammunition Plant, where they have developed a wide range of explosives formulations for military and commercial customers. EXP will be executing this project from its Oil, Gas + Chemicals (OG+C) – Operations East in Knoxville, TN.
