As one of the largest infrastructure projects in Kingston, Ontario, the redevelopment of Providence Care Hospital brings programs from two other hospitals together under one roof in a new state-of-the-art facility.
The 619,000 SF, 270-bed facility provides a patient-centered environment and workplace efficiency, while incorporating sustainable building design and construction features.
EXP prepared the Planning and Design documents required by Providence Care Hospital for the Project Specific Output Specifications (PSOS) included in the Design Build Finance Maintain (DBFM) Request for Proposal. The PSOS serves as the instructions for planning, design and construction, which enables the DBFM consortium to construct the new hospital and meet sponsor expectations.
