Importance of energy metering and setting benchmarks for better buildings
Congratulations to Greg Hildebrand from our Building Science group, who was presented with the 2016 Anthony A. Woods Award, informally known as “The Beckie”.
Awarded annually by the Board of the Ontario Building Envelope Council (OBEC), The Beckie honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to the promotion of excellence in design, construction and performance of the building envelope.
Before joining EXP in 1991, Greg spent 11 years doing R&D work in corrosion, electrochemistry and building science fields. In addition to his work at EXP, Greg is an active member of a number of industry and professional associations and a regular speaker at local OBEC and national building envelope conferences including the 14th Canadian Conference on Building Science and Technology. He also shares his experience and knowledge by teaching at the University of Toronto and offering courses for the Toronto Construction Association.
Again, congratulations on this exceptional career achievement Greg!
