EXP receives Private Sector Employer Recognition award from ASCE-IL

October 11, 2019

At this year’s American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) – IL Section Annual Awards Dinner, EXP was awarded the Private Sector Employer Recognition award. The award recognizes employers with offices located within the Illinois Section, who encourage their engineers to actively participate in ASCE.

In attendance at this year’s event were ASCE-IL members vice president, transportation, Brian Umbright; department manager, water resources, Sandy Homola; senior water resources engineer, Brian Olson; senior structural engineer, Brett Russell; civil department manager, Brian Hecht; senior project manager, Tom Hough; project engineer, Muhammad Ali; drainage engineer, Hillary Kramer and civil engineer, Alicia Garcia.

Both Sandy Homola and Brian Olson completed their terms as Board Members and were integral in planning the awards dinner. Sandy is continuing her service by being elected to serve on the executive board as treasurer.

Brian Umbright shared, “EXP is successful due to the passion of our employees – their commitment to the profession, dedication to life-long learning, advocation for our industry and volunteerism. It is through organizations like ASCE that we are able to enhance our employees’ experiences and we look forward to continuing our relationship with the Illinois Section. We also were incredibly excited to support Sandy as she progresses through the leadership ranks – hopefully becoming Section President in a few years. It was a fabulous night.”

Congratulations, team!
