EXP moves to number 26 in ENR’s Top 500 list

April 29, 2021

With clients, employees and communities at the center of EXP’s business model throughout 2020, the firm moved to No. 26 from No. 29 in Engineering News-Record Top 500 Design Firms.

The transition from a predominately office-based work environment to remote required swift adaptations to market strategies. “With a large footprint in disrupted markets including aviation, entertainment and oil, gas and chemical, our approach focused on nimbleness, employees’ well-being and delivering quality services in some of our key markets including transportation, mission critical and telecommunications,” says President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Dvorak.

From the onset of the pandemic, EXP balanced employee needs with client expectations, yielding successful results. “There was not a one-size-fits-all approach to 2020. It was a year of continuous adjustments to support our clients and communities, as well as a time to support global calls-for-action around sustainability and diversity,” said Mark.

In addition to No. 26 in Top 500 Design Firms, EXP’s placed in the following national and international categories:

    • Number 5 – Telecommunications
    • Number 9 – International Markets
    • Number 13 – Pure designers
    • Number 18 – Transportation
    • Number 20 – Industrial Process/Petroleum
