West Springs

preserving nature in a residential neighborhood

next project

Université de Montréal/City of Montréal New Outremont Campus

Designed around Aspen forests, this residential Calgary neighborhood celebrates nature.

Located in southwest Calgary, 16 phases were developed in and around existing low density residential homes.  New development was integrated sensitively into the existing community and engineering problem-solving helped preserve naturalized areas. Innovative design of stormwater and wastewater systems blends nature with functionality.

Several phases of development proceeded as a result of engineering solutions for servicing that advanced normal development timelines several years. This was accomplished through temporary servicing options that were approved by the City of Calgary prior to the installation of the permanent utilities.
