The Mississippi Aquarium brings together the outdoor experience of Mississippi by providing its guests with opportunities to be fully immersed in the aquatic wonders across the state. The aquarium’s mission is to celebrate Mississippi’s unique gulf and marsh environments and unify the state’s natural resources including the Gulf of Mexico coastline, Mississippi River, wetlands, marshes and bayous.

The aquarium is located on a 5.8-acre, beachfront campus and consists of several individual buildings including a Ticketing/Retail building, an Event Facility, a main Aquarium Building as well as several support facilities and exhibits spread throughout the site including dolphins, otters and alligators. Highlights of EXP’s MEP portion of the project included the design of central chiller and boiler plants, multiple utility services that spread across the campus as well as extensive MEP support and coordination with the Animal Life Support Systems.
