EXP is pleased to announce that Nadia Abou has been appointed Chair of EXP’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE+I) committee. Supporting diversity and embracing a workplace that is representative of the communities we serve is a top priority. Transparent communication is an essential component of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and Nadia, a proven communicator, will be an essential driver of this important work going forward.
With EXP since 2018 as communications manager for the US region, Nadia brings over 10 years of experience in marketing and communications specialist roles, including strategic communications officer for the US Army Corps of Engineers. She has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and sciences in English from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Since the DE+I committee’s inception in 2020, Nadia has been a dedicated member and was instrumental in establishing EXP’s first internal platform for DE+I resources and information and developed and implemented the communication plan for the committee.
“Establishing DE+I practices for our firm is essential and our DE+I committee led by Nadia, will ensure we continue to make progress toward our corporate goals,” shared Ivan Dvorak, EXP’s chairman and chief executive officer. “Nadia’s communication skills, passion and commitment to EXP’s values and culture make her the right choice to chair the committee and to champion a more inclusive workplace.”
Nadia shared, “I am honored to serve in the role of DE+I Chair. As a committee, we have a mandate to drive important change for our employees, clients and communities we serve. We are dedicated to learning, advocating and supporting a welcoming and equitable workplace. To achieve this, the committee will focus on measurable recruitment, external communications and employee engagement initiatives.
