This extensive modernization project for the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) created 10 new facilities across Ontario consisting of both Detachment Buildings and three Regional Command Centres (RCCs).
Engineered for post-disaster requirements, as well as accommodations for progressive collapse requirements, the three RCCs are part of OPP’s commitment to keep communities safe throughout Ontario.
Designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, the RCCs include new office buildings, vehicle storage, training rooms and command control rooms featuring column free spaces, recessed access flooring and sensitive acoustic and vibration controls.
