Innovative problem-solving and engineering solved on-site and off-site infrastructure needs for this 130-hectare industrial and intermodal site. The site required both on-site and off-site infrastructure to service its multiple large-scale parcels. Redevelopment of the industrial site brings a 15-acre stormwater retention facility, a new 4-lane, 63-meter long bridge, as well as major roadways and utilities.
Off-site upgrades included the directional drill of a 300mm watermain beneath the Provincial Western Headworks Canal, and modernizing 94th Avenue SE from a gravel roadway to a major 4-lane industrial arterial roadway.
