This stunning building was converted from the France Pavilion (for Canada Expo '67) into a 4,500-person capacity casino and state-of-the-art entertainment facility. Some of the challenges our team faced in providing electrical, architectural lighting and site supervision services were significant structural changes, electrical upgrades, tight construction schedule and a highly complex lighting and camera surveillance system.

We provided design/build services for the award-winning Hotel Baker Restoration. Work included the restoration/renovation of the lobby, ballroom, restaurant, lounge and 54 guest rooms. All building systems were replaced or upgraded and the façade underwent complete restoration, including window replacement. This project received a Preservation Award from the Driehaus Landmark Preservation Council of Illinois.

Our team provided a host of services for the project, including; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, commissioning, fire protection, lighting design, construction administration and technology design.

Exp provided architectural and structural engineering services to convert the 633 St. Clair Street office building's low-rise section into a full service Wyndham Hotel. Wyndham occupies the lower 17 floors of the 29-story office building. A new ballroom addition was constructed over an existing, single-story loading dock and the mechanical central plant wing. The completed hotel provides full meeting and guest services and 414 guest rooms.
